About your Coach Tony Carmichael
“Golf is a game played for many reasons, and we customize each program to meet individual needs,” Tony explains. Working with Watford City Parks and Recreation, he offers comprehensive golf development classes for ages four and up, covering everything from swing mechanics and etiquette to time management and basic courtesy.
Tony's foundation was built in the traditional golf environment of the Chilliwack Golf Club, where he benefited from junior development programs and mentorship from Brent Grossart, PGA. This experience instilled in him the value of strong, positive junior programs that emphasize history, rules, and sportsmanship—essential for the game's continued growth.
His experience working with top golf professionals across the United States, Canada, and Mexico has deepened his understanding of the game and honed his ability to communicate effectively with students.
Tony's instruction is clear and accessible, delivered in plain English or Spanish, avoiding overwhelming golf jargon. He connects his coaching to familiar dynamic and athletic activities, making learning intuitive and engaging.
